Information we collect

We collect account details, suburb, football preferences, availability, team and game activity, notification preferences, and optional phone numbers. Passwords are stored only as secure hashes.

How we use information

We use information to operate accounts, match players with games, deliver requested alerts, prevent misuse, and improve reliability. A player's shortened name, suburb, football preferences and published availability appear only when their public-profile setting is enabled.

Google sign-in

If you choose Google sign-in, Google provides a verified email address, display name and a unique Google account identifier. We use these details only to create, connect and secure your Football Khelam account. We do not request access to Gmail, contacts, calendars or Google Drive. Existing accounts require a one-time Football Khelam password confirmation before Google is connected.

Player invitations and contact sharing

Public player cards never display an email address or phone number. A verified organiser may invite an available player only to an upcoming game they manage and only when the player allows invitations. Contact details remain private while the invitation is pending. If the player accepts, the player's saved preferred contact method is shared with that organiser and the organiser's contact method chosen for that invitation is shared with the player.

Other sharing

An optional phone number or verified email may also be shared with a game organiser when a player explicitly chooses that contact method while requesting to join. We use service providers for hosting, databases, email and optional SMS delivery. We do not sell personal information.

Retention and control

You can change notification, public-profile and player-invitation settings or delete your account. Operational records may be retained where reasonably necessary for safety, fraud prevention or legal compliance.

Cookies

We use necessary secure cookies for login and, during Google sign-in, a short-lived anti-forgery value. Google Identity Services may use Google cookies to display and secure its account chooser. We do not currently serve advertising cookies. If advertising is introduced, this policy and the consent controls will be updated before personalized advertising is enabled.
